Well i’m sure most budding SEO’s are already aware that Yahoo have introduced their own Analytical package http://web.analytics.yahoo.com/ if you didn’t, you do now.
Well firstly why would they offer this package? – Simply imagine getting the analytical data from thousands of websites, pulling it all together to see what people search for, what they buy when they’ve searched for somthing, different users, who user which browser etc, the list is endless and this can give the power to predict an enourmous amount of things. (Why do you think Google do it and they offer it for free???)
So does it have any benefits over Google Analytics?
Well it’s not fully available yet to judge, but it does advise in its features that the results are real time, this is something you don’t get with Google Analytics, but the rest does look alot similar, i’m not sure what platform its based on as if you didn’t know Google Analytics is based on Urchin web software a company that they bought a few years ago.
So the judge is still out on the system, but of course everyone will probably have a go to see if it’s any good and so lets wait to see whos first to create a wordpress plugin 🙂
Hey there,
The system is based on Y! acquiring our Company IndexTools.
WordPress. I actually think Yoost made one already. OR he at least told me so.
Cheers 🙂
