Over time web designers and developers collect a number of different tools and resources to make their every day workflow easier and more efficient. There are a large number of different online tools and software available to cater for anybody’s needs from the very advanced down to the plain and simple.
The obvious choice for many people (mainly designers) is to use the complete adobe software library, which includes Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Flash to name a few.
Anybody that choses to use the adobe packages will have almost every modern tool available to complete the task in hand and then some. Now this may seem ideal for some people, but for me, simplicity is key.

Tip for adding Google Analytic`s Snippet
Here`s a quick tip for adding Google Analytic`s snippet and any other tracking snippets you plan to use in the website header.
Static page websites with lots of pages can be a right royal pain in the backside adding your Google Analytic`s snippets after you have built your website because you need to add it to each and every page. So I strongly suggest you add the Google Analytic`s snippet code early on in the design stages.
Why Keywords Are Key
Keywords are the most important SEO element for every search engine, they are the light that an engine fumbles through the dark to find, shimmering with that distant keyword glow. The most vital first step to having a successful SEO campaign is selecting the right keywords. In order to determine what are the correct keywords for your campaign, you must do some in-depth research into your target market and your industry: what keywords your competitors have chosen, an analysis of what the online population are searching for and what keywords you think best reflect your service or product.
Digital Convenience Replacing Artistry
Over the past decade the rapid advancement of technology has changed the face of the creative industry dramatically. With digital creative tools now available to everybody at an affordable price it seems that everybody nowadays considers themselves a photographer, designer, illustrator, filmmaker etc.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But I often wonder if this is damaging the way we perceive art? As the web overflows with amazing talent the value of art has lowered. Now most of the time, talented artist are forced to sell their services for cheap, if not for free. Twenty years ago a talented artist would rarely have had to give away his work for free but things have changed.
Evolution of the web – helping it move forward
Over the past 15 years the World Wide Web as we know it has come a long way. Websites, designers and developers, and web based technologies have all evolved and aided in making the online experience into what it is today. Websites are no longer just pages of information. They are interactive visual experiences that are as fundamental to our everyday lives as cars or phones.
As new web technologies are created and introduced, old methods for creating things become redundant, and eventually die out. This is evolution, and this is how the web, and the world moves forward.

Does Your Website Warrant a Mobile Version
As mobile devices advance and become a bigger part of everyday life, we get clients who ask when does my business need a mobile version of the website?
Well…
Over the past few years mobile and tablet devices have become so easy to use. They have forced users to use them instead of using a desktop or a laptop. This evolution has seen an increase in mobile traffic.
5 things you need for a user friendly website
1. Get rid of as many errors as you can.
A website with loads of errors is on par with sitting next to someone on the bus who hasn’t showered for ages* – it doesn’t make for a pleasant experience. Try to resolve as many errors as possible to make it easier and smoother for the user to visit your website.
2. An attractive homepage.
This seems an obvious thing, but some websites forget that this is the first thing a user will see. There is nothing worse than a flat, boring site with little thought put into the design or usability. See the homepage as the’ front cover’ of your website – this is the page where the user will decide whether or not they want to look through the rest of the site. Making the homepage attractive means having a good design and keeping the user stimulated. Imagine you were buying a new phone, would you buy a phone that only does what it needs to, has a basic design and function and is not really kept up to date? Or would you buy a phone that has a great design, brilliant functionality, is constantly being updated to make it better and has interesting features? You’d prefer the latter.
