As I wait patiently for the AA to come and fix my car, I’ve started to wonder whether my decision to choose the AA was the right one.
So as someone in online marketing, what’s a better way to spend my time than use the online presence of a company to decide if my choice was right?
The major companies within the motor breakdown industry are:
- The AA
- RAC
- Green Flag
Now, let’s have a look at a scatter graph comparing branded links to referring IP’s to answer my question…
As you can see (which is not a surprise) the AA are doing well and RAC are not that far behind, in comparison to the rest of the companies selected in the industry report.
Quality Vs Keyword Reach
The scatter graph below shows the quality of links vs the keyword reach.
As you can see Green Flag are way off the mark as they should be between the RAC and the AA on a diagonal line. This shows that the Green Flag are getting held back somehow.
Overall
These little insights are brilliant as they allow me to see where some companies are going wrong. And to answer my initial question, it seems that I was right to go with the AA (the numbers never lie), I just wish they would hurry up and get here…
