When we tell you to promote, we mean promote everywhere you can. Whether it be on each page of your website, on a blog, signs at your office, advertising or on business cards, one of the easiest ways to gain followers is letting people know you exist.

You may get a number of followers, but how will you maintain them if you don’t build relationships? Start discussions and engage in conversations, you may even end up creating useful contacts. We’ve already talked about sharing useful content that’s created for a specific audience, but there’s another easier way to allow users to repost, and consequently advertise, your content. Adding social sharing buttons allows a person to share something they found interesting in the matter of seconds.
Position them at the top and bottom of the page. If a title captures someones attention then they may share it straight away. Alternatively, they may read through the whole piece, find it interesting, see the share button and give it a click.
It’s not likely that they’ll bother to copy and paste the URL manually, so this is essential if you want to get your content out there.
